LMIDC , one of the largest
companies in Egypt specialized in the
distribution of the consumer packaged goods.
LMIDC contracted with Oratech to develop a fully
integrated software solution aiming at
increasing the efficiency of their
operation by developing a consolidated
financial & sales view across all
LMIDC’s subsidiaries. The solution starts
from the back office automation using Oracle
ERP, to the development of a full fledged sales & forecast solution across the 23 distribution centers owned by the company & covering the whole country of Egypt. The challenge was to develop a solution that caters for the diversified needs of the different
subsidiaries while providing a consolidated financial performance to the top management. Subsidiaries activities includes cigarettes, water , milk production & distribution among other
things.
Solution
The proposed solution was
developed with the prime goal of providing top
management a complete visibility across LMIDC’s
7 owned subsidiaries. The solution allowed the
subsidiaries to run their operations as separate
legal entities while providing top
management with one consolidated view
of the financial & sales performance
indicators . The backbone financials &
logistics solution offered by Oratech is based
on Oracle Enterprise Resource planning fully
integrated with Oratech’s bespoke Fleet
Management solution. A major component of the
proposed
solution was the development of a sales & distribution system that gathers sales information across the different sales routes , channels & across the whole country. On the top of the sales & distribution system lays an intensive
analysis system that provides top management with key indicators that helps managers monitors sales performance and act accordingly.

Using the new systems managers as well as executives were able to monitor sales activities on a daily basis and run multidimensional analytical reports on the business performance as demanded.
